Konfigurasi Mozilla Thunderbird

Thunderbird merupakan salah satu email client yang sangat populer dan merupakan alternatif dari email client standar Microsoft Windows (Outlook Express) atau Microsoft Office Outlook. Berikut adalah cara konfigurasi pada Thunderbird untuk dapat mengambil dan mengirim email dari account hosting Anda.

Jalankan aplikasi Thunderbird dengan melakukan klik ganda pada icon desktop atau dengan memanggil shortcut yang terdapat pada start -> All Programs -> Mozilla Thunderbird -> Mozilla Thunderbird.

Jika Anda baru pertama kali menginstall dan menjalankan Thunderbird maka sebuah Account Wizard akan terpanggil secara otomatis. Pilih Email Account dan kemudian tekan tombol Next

Pada Account Wizard (Identity), Masukan nama lengkap anda pada textbox pertama dan alamat email anda pada textbox kedua kemudian klik pada tombol Next

Pada Account Wizard (Server Information), Pilih POP pada type of incoming server dan masukan nama domain anda sebagai Incoming Server (domain_anda.tld). Anda dapat menggunakan Use Global Inbox untuk menyimpan email Anda pada folder utama (inbox) atau membuat folder email baru dengan cara membuang tanda pada Use Global Inbox. Setelah itu tekan tombol Next

Pada Account Wizard (User Names), masukan alamat email anda sebagai username anda. Kemudian tekan tombol Next.

Pada Account Wizard (Account Name), Anda dapat memberikan satu nama unik untuk profile (berguna bagi Anda menggunakan Thunderbird untuk mengambil lebih dari satu account email). Setelah selesai tekan tombol Next

Pada Account Wizard (Congratulation!), Anda dapat melihat konfigurasi yang sudah Anda buat. Setelah selesai tekan tombol Finish Anda akan menjumpai halaman utama dari Thunderbird.

Sampai disini, Anda sudah dapat mengambil email dari account Anda. Akan tetapi Anda masih belum dapat untuk mengirimkan email dari Thunderbird. Agar dapat mengirimkan email melalui Thunderbird yang perlu Anda lakukan selanjutnya adalah dengan menekan menu Tools -> Account Settings Pilih pada Outgoing SMTP Server.

kemudian tekan tombol Edit. Pada SMTP Server silahkan isi Deskripsi server, kemudian server name dengan nama domain Anda (domain_anda.tld). Biarkan nilai port default (25). Beri tanda pada Use name and password, dan kembali masukan alamat email Anda sebagai username. Beri tanda No pada bagian Use Secure Connection dan kemudian akhiri dengan menekan tombol OK dan Anda akan kembali ke aplikasi utama Thunderbird.

Selamat, Anda telah berhasil melakukan konfigurasi pada Thunderbird. Kini Anda dapat mencoba mengambil email dengan menekan tombol Get Mail atau mencoba mengirim email dengan menggunakan tombol Write.

Maintenance Time: 0001- 0500 CST Sat Dec 23
Maintenance Action: Enable new backbone capacity

In this window, Savvis engineers will be upgrading the regional backbone
capacity. As this work is performed, customers may experience latency
or other connectivity issues when traffic shifts to the new
infrastructure. This action has been rescheduled to occur between 0001

Maintenance Action: Replace defective hardware on CSR

a local Customer Service Router ("CSR"). As this work is performed,

issues.

maintenance on several local and regional backbone routers. This work
will enable new logical connectivity between facilities that will
